Valencia CF to face CD Castellón in the 2025/26 preseason
The match will take place on July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Estadi Antonio Puchades in the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna
Maxi Gómez' signing for Valencia CF was made official on Sunday, July 14th, and the Uruguayan striker was quick to give his thoughts on the big move to VCF Media.
"I'm very happy to be joining Valencia CF. They're a very big club, I'm happy to be here and it's a good move for my family as well," said the new arrival, who will join up with the squad after a few days' holiday in his homeland.
"For them to show confidence in a player is a big thing. I hope to be able to give my all for Valencia CF, and that everything goes well," he continued, noting that the prospect of Champions League football was a big factor in his decision to come to Mestalla.
"It's really nice to be able to play in the Champions League. I've never done that before, and from a young age I always dreamt of playing in the Champions League and LaLiga. I'm very grateful to Valencia CF, and very happy."
"I was able to meet some of my teammates the other day, although a lot of them were missing still. I have a few days' rest now, in which I'll go to Uruguay to spend some more time with my family -as I didn't have much in the way of holiday time because of the Copa America. When I come back, I'll be raring to go at Valencia CF."
